What We Do
Petaluma People Services is dedicated to improving the social and economic health of our community by providing programs that strengthen the dignity and self-sufficiency of the individual. Our core services include: Aging Well Together, Community Counseling Clinic, Youth Programing including Mentor Me, Housing, Economic Sustainability and Petaluma Bounty Farms. PPSC serves as a hub for our entire community with our programing, yearly we serve over 43,000 individuals, families and youth. We provide leadership and collobration with many organziations and groups in our community. We continue to see families in Petaluma struggling and a grant award would be used to support families and youth with counseling, mentoring, housing and food access.

We Need Volunteers
Currently largest need for volunteers is in our Mentor Me program, followed by Aging Well Together and our Petaluma Bounty Farm.
- Mentor Me – we have 124 youth on the waitlist – this is 1 hour a week with the same youth, and we do ask for a two year commitment. Most of these kids have been abandoned by adults in their life and that is why the commitment is so important. Training provided.
- You Are Not Alone – in our Aging Well Together, we currently have a wait list for volunteers to make a daily or assigned time to a homebound senior, we are currently serving 3,000 seniors county wide and have a wait list of 12 very lonely vulnerable seniors.
- iRIDE Petaluma – Volunteers drive seniors who can not access public transportation to appointments, grocery store or other PPSC programs (Adult Day Care and Café 211), volunteers are able to choose times and rides that they can provide a week in advance.
- Home Delivered Meals - delivering meals prepared in our kitchen to homebound seniors, takes approximately 2 hours, and we ask for a regular commitment mid-day. We are currently delivering over 10,000 meals a month.
- Petaluma Bounty Farm – volunteers to help in our production farm located in Petaluma. Volunteer hours are Wednesday and Saturday, volunteers need to access our website to register weekly.
- Plant Sale – volunteers needed to prepare and help the day of the plant sale April 22 & April 23 – contact our office.
